Biography:
Danillo Augusto, Ph.D. is an assistant professor and the Director of Community, Engagement, and Success in the Department of Biological Sciences. He has an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Genetics, with extensive experience in human molecular genetics, specializing in immunogenetics and population genetics. He trained in leading institutions in Brazil and the U.S., such as the National Cancer Institute/NIH, Harvard Medical School and the University of California San Francisco. He is also a Board Director of the Society for Immune Polymorphism and currently serves as Associate Editor for the journals Frontiers in Genetics, Human Immunology, PLoS ONE and Scientific Reports.
