Alex Reynolds

Alex Reynolds joined UNC Charlotte in 2024 as a communications specialist within the University’s Campus and Community Communications team. Alex serves as the editor of the Niner Insider newsletter for students, faculty and staff.

Alex joins UNC Charlotte from Barrett Media — a digital trade site for the media industry — where he was the company’s digital director. In this role, he oversaw the production of specialized newsletters sent out to a database of news, sports and music media professionals.

Alex graduated from Elon University in 2022 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. While at Elon, he was named a communications fellow and worked in the athletic department as a communications assistant.

An avid sports fan, Alex has also worked with the Carolina Miners Lacrosse program, based in Huntersville, NC.
