Kat joined University Communications in 2017. She is skilled in concept-to-creation photography and enjoys using her creative outlooks to bring a new spin on photographic creations. Her photographic duties include images for the university website and magazine, marketing photos for departments across campus and portraits. Kat is responsible for the online Digital Assets Management service Brandfolder.
She comes to UNC Charlotte from the Mississippi State University Extension Service, where she worked for 10 years in the Office of Agricultural Communications. During this time, she also served as the Mississippi 4-H State Photo Specialist.
She has a B.F.A. in Art-Photography and an M.S. in Agricultural & Extension Education from Mississippi State University.
