Kay Turner

Kay Turner joined UNC Charlotte in 2024 and serves as the Director of Social Media, leading the University’s enterprise social media strategy and overseeing its flagship social media presence. She works across the University to strengthen Charlotte’s presence on social media, build community and tell stories that highlight the people, experiences and impact that define Niner Nation. Her work includes social strategy, content development, audience engagement, analytics and governance across the University’s social media ecosystem.

Kaytlyn brings more than eight years of experience in social media, communications and digital storytelling, including previous roles at Central Piedmont Community College. She earned her M.A. in Strategic Communication from Liberty University and her B.A. in Communications from the University of South Florida, where she was a Division I track and field student-athlete.
