Damien P. Williams

Assistant Professor

Damien Patrick Williams, Ph.D. is an assistant professor in Philosophy and Data Science at UNC Charlotte, where he teaches and researches how technologies such as algorithms, machine intelligence and biotechnologies are impacted by the values, knowledge systems, philosophical explorations, social structures and even religious beliefs of human beings.

Wlodek W. Zadrozny


Wlodek Zadrozny joined the faculty of UNC Charlotte in 2013, after a 27-year career at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center. Dr. Zadrozny’s research focuses on natural language understanding and its applications. From 2008 to 2013, he was part of the IBM Watson project, the Jeopardy! playing machine. As a scientist at IBM Research, he led and contributed to a wide range of projects.
