She has written widely about the political, military, economic, and cultural history of France, particularly in the aftermath of the French Revolution and Napoleon.

Mark Wilson is a professor in the Department of History. He is conducting new research that explores the development of the so-called military-industrial complex in the USA from the 1950s into the early 21st century. He is also interested in working to archive the historical records of business firms with connections to the Charlotte region.
