Daniel Andrew Janies

Carol Grotnes Belk Distinguished Professor of Bioinformatics and Genomics and Co-director of the Center for Computational Intelligence to Predict Public Health Risks (CIPHER)

In 2012, Daniel Janies joined the faculty of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte as The Carol Grotnes Belk Distinguished Professor of Bioinformatics and Genomics.  Janies serves as the co-Director of Computational Intelligence to Predict Health and Environmental Risks (CIPHER). He has also served as director of the Ribarsky Center for Visual Analytics. 

Melinda Forthofer

Melinda Forthofer, Ph.D., is professor and chair of the Department of Public Health Sciences in the College of Health and Human Services. Prior to UNC Charlotte,Forthofer was on the fUniversity of South Florida faculty (1996-2006) and at the University of South Carolina (2006-16).

Michael Thompson, Ph.D., is an associate professor and associate chair of Public Health Sciences. He directs UNC Charlotte’s CAHME-accredited and nationally ranked Master of Health Administration program and its Health Informatics and Analytics programs.
