Biography:

Victoria E. Rankin, Ph.D., is a sociology lecturer at UNC Charlotte. Dr. Rankin earned her Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Virginia and specializes in equity in education, social inequality, parent engagement, and the sociology of education. Prior to joining UNC Charlotte in 2017, Dr. Rankin spent 10 years as a senior researcher at the American Institutes for Research in Washington, D.C. and seven years as an adjunct assistant research professor of sociology at The George Washington University.
