Craig Depken II, Ph.D., joined the Belk College of Business in August 2007. Prior to UNC Charlotte, he was an associate professor of economics at the University of Texas at Arlington. Depken has taught a wide variety of applied economics courses, including econometrics, international economics and industrial organization.
Dave Sperry has been the director of UNC Charlotte's Venture Outdoor Leadership program for more than six years. He has worked with internationally recognized outdoor leadership organizations, such as Outward Bound. He has also served as a faculty member in outdoor education degree programs for more than 20 years.
Jeffrey Barto has been teaching at the university level since 1986 and at UNC Charlotte since 1992. He taught integrating movement into elementary school curriculums for 25 years. Since 2005, he has created and taught two different courses on Baseball History and Critically Thinking through Baseball as a medium.
Tricia Turner is in her 14th year at UNC Charlotte. She is the program director for the new master's degree in Athletic Training. Turner teaches courses in athletic training and exercise science programs. Her research area examines ankle sprains and tissue healing after injury.
