Jeffrey J. Barto

Jeffrey Barto has been teaching at the university level since 1986 and at UNC Charlotte since 1992. He taught integrating movement into elementary school curriculums for 25 years. Since 2005, he has created and taught two different courses on Baseball History and Critically Thinking through Baseball as a medium.

Michael Benjamin

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Benjamin taught chemistry for two years and worked for the Nebraska Health and Human Services System as an environmental health analyst in indoor air quality for three years. He then attended the University of Cincinnati for an Masters of Science in Chemistry and taught High School and University Chemistry courses for 9 years.

Jeanette Bennett is an experimental health psychologist whose research focuses on the biopsychosociological antecedents of stress-related chronic disease. She seeks to understand the physiological mechanisms that cause chronic diseases and how individual differences affect and how stress management interventions can holistically improve health and well-being.

Anita L. Blanchard

Anita Blanchard is an associate professor of Psychology and Organization Science at UNC Charlotte. She is the director of the Virtual Identity, Community and Entitativity (V.I.C.E) lab, which studies online and face-to-face groups. She is particularly interested in how groups affect people’s relationships with each other as well as their own health and well-being.

Danielle N. Boaz

Boaz completed a Ph.D. in History with a specialization in Africa, the African Diaspora and the Caribbean from the University of Miami, a J.D. with a concentration in International Law from the University of Toledo and a LL.M. in Intercultural Human Rights from St. Thomas University. She is a licensed attorney in the states of Florida and North Carolina.

Andy R. Bobyarchick

Associate Professor of Earth Sciences

Andy Bobyarchick teaches applied geophysics at UNC Charlotte. His long-term research interests include the tectonics and regional geology of the Southern Appalachian Mountains, particularly within the eastern crystalline core of the chain.

Tracy Bonoffski is a full-time faculty member in the Deptartment of Kinesiology. A registered dietitian and certified clinical exercise physiologist. she specializes in sports nutrition, wellness and plant-based nutrition.

Jessamyn Bowling's research focuses on resilience and sexual health among sexual and gender minoritized (such as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer) populations. She has lived and worked in Cambodia, Vietnam, Mexico, Cameroon and India. 

Kent L. Brintnall

Associate Professor, Religious Studies; Affiliate Faculty, Women's & Gender Studies

Kent L. Brintnall (B.A., Fort Hays State University; J.D., Northeastern University School of Law; M.A., Pacific School of Religion; Ph.D., Emory University) joined the UNC Charlotte faculty in fall 2008 after serving as the inaugural post-doctoral fellow in religion and sexuality and a lecturer in film studies at Emory University.
